5.0/10

I was captivated by the beautiful decor and the charming building. but my experience took a turn due to the poor cleanliness and service. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and I faced significant issues with my room that negatively impacted my overall stay.

Rooms
5.0
The room had a lovely four-poster bed, yet it wasn't properly cleaned. When I arrived, I found remnants of hair on the sheets, and it wasn't until I complained multiple times that I received fresh linens. Overall, the room was comfortable but in dire need of maintenance.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly, the overall service was lacking. I encountered rude attitudes from certain employees and a lack of attention to details. For example, my bed wasn't made daily unless I specifically asked for it, which is not how hotel service should operate.
Location
5.0
The location was definitely a highlight. Nestled in a good neighborhood close to Kensington, it was convenient for exploring local eateries and the underground. I felt quite at home walking around the area.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite bare, just toast with jam and some cold meats, which was quite disappointing. I expected a more substantial selection given the hotel's reputation. The coffee also left much to be desired.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel had potential with its facilities, the lack of upkeep was evident. Dirty carpets, broken fixtures, and a general feeling of neglect overshadowed the boutique charm it could have had.

7.2/10

I had high hopes for my stay, given the charming location in a chic residential area close to Kensington. However, the experience fell short with poorly maintained rooms and subpar service that left much to be desired. The beautiful building has potential, but it desperately needs renovation and attentive management.

Rooms
5.0
I was initially excited to check into what was promised as a Superior Double Room, but it was far from superior. The room I got had stained headboards, ripped carpets, and dirty walls. Moreover, the lack of basic amenities like tea-making facilities and unreliable hot water was frustrating.
Service
5.0
The check-in experience was less than welcoming, as the staff seemed disinterested and untrained. It was disappointing to have to wait and seek attention just to get checked in. The breakfast service was also chaotic, with a single waitress struggling to manage everything effectively.
Location
5.0
On the bright side, the hotel's location is fantastic. Nestled in a very chic residential area, it's close to the underground and various restaurants, making it a convenient spot for exploring London.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast experience was disappointing. Despite ordering the night before, the service was slow, and basic items like yogurt were unavailable. It felt like a missed opportunity to provide a decent continental spread in such a lovely dining room.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel lacks essential facilities that one would expect, such as a kettle in the room. The overall cleanliness of the shared areas also left a lot to be desired, with visible dirt and stains throughout.

5.0/10

My stay at The Cranley Hotel had its ups and downs. I loved the charming atmosphere and polite staff, but the room left a lot to be desired. The bathroom was spacious and nicely appointed, but some aspects of the room felt outdated. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the area, but I did notice room cleanliness issues that need addressing.

Rooms
7.0
I booked a four-poster room that was quite large and comfy, with crisp sheets and a spacious bathroom; however, I found some misalignment with the bed and headboard, and there were a few cleanliness issues.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and polite during my stay, but the check-in process could be smoother, and I felt some training was needed to enhance breakfast service.
Location
9.0
The hotel is located in a fantastic area, not too far from public transport, restaurants, and Kensington high street, making it an ideal base for exploring London.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent, with a good selection of items, but I felt it could be better organized as I noticed some chaos during service, and I would’ve liked more variety.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel has basic facilities like laundry and room service, they felt a bit lacking in amenities like tea and coffee making in the room, which would have been a nice touch.

6.4/10

I had high hopes for my stay, given the great location near Gloucester Road, but the experience was quite disappointing. The room I was given was in a state of disrepair, with stained carpets and an unpleasant musty smell. Service was slow and unhelpful, especially during breakfast where options were limited and tables were left dirty.

Rooms
5.0
Our room was in desperate need of maintenance, with stained carpets and a broken curtain. The overall cleanliness was very poor, and the layout made it uncomfortable to navigate.
Service
5.0
The staff seemed overwhelmed and unaware of basic customer service skills. I experienced delays during check-in and breakfast, which felt chaotic and unorganized.
Location
5.0
The location was convenient, close to many attractions and the underground, making it easy to explore London.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast service was frustratingly slow, and the limited options felt like an afterthought. We had to order toast ourselves, which was not what I expected.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were lacking, with no in-room tea and coffee making facilities or functional amenities like refrigerating options. The whole place felt neglected.

5.8/10

My stay at The Cranley Hotel was quite disappointing, to say the least. While the location was excellent, close to the tube and various restaurants, the overall quality and service fell short of expectations. The room clearly needed some serious attention, both in cleanliness and maintenance, and the breakfast was below par.

Rooms
5.0
Upon entering my room, I was struck by the state it was in. The carpet was stained, and there were issues with the hot water supply. Additionally, the headboard and furniture showed signs of age and neglect, which was quite disheartening for a supposed superior accommodation.
Service
5.0
The staff at the reception seemed overwhelmed and untrained. There was a noticeable lack of engagement with guests, and even as I raised my concerns, the overall attitude was dismissive rather than eager to resolve issues.
Location
8.0
On the positive side, the hotel's location is fantastic. Just a short walk to the tube and nested close to various dining options, it certainly offers accessibility to many of London's attractions.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite basic and disappointing. The service was slow, and even after filling out a form the previous evening, the options were limited and lacking, which left me quite underwhelmed.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel’s facilities left much to be desired. I found there to be very little available in the room itself, such as no drink-making facilities. Overall, a face-lift would do the hotel wonders.
